“10 steps” Guide for Adding an Event
1. Create a user account if you don’t have one already:
If you already have an account on the website, skip to step 4
2. Fill out the registration form with your name, the username you want to have on the website, a valid e-mail address and a password:
3. After this step is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail on the address provided. You have to click on the link inside that email to confirm the account. Once the confirmation is done, you would be able to post events on the www.NMBEvents.com website
4. Log in with your username and password:
5. After log in, you have access to a few new menus. Click on “Ad Event” menu to post a new event:
6. You can change events you already posted on the website by clicking on “Manage Events” menu
7. Fill out the form that opens with:
- Name of the event
- Category that the event belongs to
- Details of the event – use the tool bar to edit and set a nice layout, almost like in Word
- Location of the event
- Contact information
- Extra information (restrictions, etc)
8. Switch to the “Calendar” tab on top of the form and choose the day/days and time for the event. Select the start date and time and the end date and time. You have options for repeating events:
- Certain days on a single week
- Certain days of the week for more than one week
- A certain day or certain days each year (for a festival, for example)
9. Save the event by clicking on the blue floppy disk icon on top right-hand side of the form
10. We will automatically be notified about the event and as soon as the event is revised, we will publish it on the website and you will get a notification by email.
