Reuben Long Detention Center's Web site.

Robert James Hussey, 27, owner of Computer Inferno in Socastee and Seaside Computers in Conway and Surfside Beach, was arrested by officers with the 15th Judicial Circuit solicitor's office and charged with a second-degree computer crimes act valued at $1,000 or less, Senior Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said.

The charge, which is a misdemeanor and could result in up to a year in prison, stemmed from 2007. North Myrtle Beach BiLo Presents First Annual Christmas in May to Benefit Local Charity

BiLo on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach will present its first annual “Christmas in May” in order to raise money to benefit North Strand Helping Hand (NSHH).  NSHH provides food, clothing, and other assistance to needy individuals and families and will use the funds collected to purchase nutritious food items for the food pantry.

“Christmas in May” will be held on May 24, 25, and 26.  Santa Claus will be on hand each day from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to take pictures, pack grocery bags, and assist customers with their shopping.  BiLo’s lobby will be decorated like Christmas in order to greet visitors with the festive theme.

“We are hoping to generate excitement and raise money for a worthy cause,” said Greg Esper, BiLo manager.

Volunteers from NSHH will be selling hot dogs, sodas, and chips on Saturday, May 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“The partnership between BiLo and North Strand Helping Hand shows how involved BiLo is with our community,” said Marti Drummond, NSHH volunteer.  “Please come out and visit with Santa and enjoy some refreshments.”

NSHH is a United Way agency and is funded by 11 North Strand area churches.  For more information about NSHH or this event, please call 843-399-0862.
