ONLINE Iran cancels Iraq security talks with Iran called off further Iraq security talks with Washington until U.S. forces stop their crackdown on Shiite militias, but the military brought more air power into the fight Monday and escalated its accusations of Iranian backing for extremists.

The latest flare-up has put Iraq's government in a bind as it seeks to stamp out armed Shiite gangs but worries about angering Shiite heavyweight Iran, which has close ties to the core of Iraq's political leadership.

Washington has long accused Iran of arming and training some Shiite militia factions. The accusations were sharpened Monday as the military said detainees described being trained at bases outside Tehran by militants from Hezbollah, an Iranian-aided faction based in Lebanon. LOTTERIES South

SC Pirates Playoff Match Print

The SC Pirates are looking forward to their first playoff match up, May 3rd @ 7:30pm at SportsZone arena, 304 East Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566. Singing the National anthem that evening will be Gabbie Rae.
 
The next afternoon before the Pirates second playoff game, Rae will be performing a concert @ 12:00pm and then once again singing the national anthem.
 
Gabbie Rae, described as the "Little girl with the big voice", has been making a huge name for herself in in the South Carolina area. Rae is performing at the Marion Country music fest as one of the headliners along with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr. and Sugarland.
 
Just another good reason to buy your playoff tix for the SC Pirates. Gabbie Rae, performs Sunday May 4th @ 12:00pm in a pregame concert and then wows everyone with her performance of the national anthem both May 3rd @ 7:30pm and May 4th @ 1:00pm
