When | 5-9:30 p.m. seven nights a week Teen turns himself in after death in Conway A 16-year-old Conway teen turned himself in to police Friday afternoon in connection with the Thursday shooting death of a 17-year-old.

Conway police spokeswoman Catina Hipp said Eric Deshaun Lynch turned himself in and will be charged with homicide in the shooting death of Trayvell Simpson.

Simpson was shot in the head around 4 p.m. Thursday at the EME apartments on Ninth Avenue in Conway. He was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he was pronounced dead at 9:22 p.m., said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge. An autopsy Friday confirmed that Simpson died of a gunshot to the head, Edge said.
