MyrtleBeachOnline.com: News News, sports and entertainment from MyrtleBeachOnline.com Students sell Christmas cheer The horticulture students at Carolina Forest High School are selling about 750 poinsettias and 350 Christmas cactuses they have grown.

The plants will be sold at the school from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a new event this year, Christmas With The Embers. The event will be held Tuesday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Odell Williamson Auditorium. 

 

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Celebrate this Christmas season with holiday entertainment and cheer featuring North Carolina's Official Musical Ambassadors, the legendary EMBERS. Your whole family will thrill to this heartwarming musical stage show “Christmas with The EMBERS” brings you a full range of surprises including possible snow flurries from the North Pole, the Chipmunks, Grinch, Elvis, Rudolph, and perhaps a visit from Old St. Nick.

 

The program is all-Christmas, all-Embers, and we know you'll go home with an old-timey traditional Christmas glow in your heart, and maybe a leftover snowflake or two. You'll be glad you came -- we promise.  The Chamber will be collecting canned goods and toys for local charities at the event.  Jared Cline Photography will also be onsite to take your picture with Santa or in front of the Christmas tree.
