MyrtleBeachOnline.com: News News, sports and entertainment from MyrtleBeachOnline.com Computer chains' owner arrested on new charge The owner of two local computer chains was released from jail Tuesday after being booked on a computer crime charge, according to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center's Web site.

Robert James Hussey, 27, owner of Computer Inferno in Socastee and Seaside Computers in Conway and Surfside Beach, was arrested by officers with the 15th Judicial Circuit solicitor's office and charged with a second-degree computer crimes act valued at $1,000 or less, Senior Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said.

The charge, which is a misdemeanor and could result in up to a year in prison, stemmed from 2007. A woman took her laptop to Seaside Computers to be repaired on Nov. 30, but it was never returned, and she could not get in touch with Hussey or others at the store about the computer, Richardson said. THE GATHERING OF FRIENDS Oct 4-7 Hello Friends!! It’s been 10 years, but The Gathering of Friends is back! With response from so many requests, we are happy to announce the return of this great event. Ten years ago, we raised $25,000.00 for Camp Carefree and The Horry County Shelter Home. This year, we will endorse

and NMB Public Safety “Shop with a Cop” (nmb.us) We plan a fun-filled schedule, with events each day during the weekend. We have slated a one-day golf tournament on Saturday, Oct 6 at Crown Park on Hwy 9, with a maximum of 25 4-man teams. Also on Saturday morning, join us for a Fun Run/Walk with 5k and 1 mile distances on the beach. Cruisin’ Classic Car Show will be held on Saturday and Sunday. A Home Tour, and other happenings, will be going on throughout the weekend. Starting in the evenings, on Thursday, it’s The Craig Woolard Band. Friday-- Sea Cruz; Saturday, a special entertainment night hosted by 94.9 the Surf and Donny Trexler and will have many special guests! And, Sunday morning, our Gospel Brunch will start the final day, and wind up with The Band of Oz Sunday night. We hope you are excited about being involved with this fun-filled and well-meaning event and offer several options for your participation. Tickets for the event are $25.00, which includes all the events, which will be held at Dynamite’s at Dock Holidays in North Myrtle Beach. Golf tournament and Fun Run entry blanks are downloadable below and completely separate. Hole sponsorship is available for $100.00 and explained on the golf entry blank.             tickets, VIP Cocktail Cruise on “The Dream” Silver:   $600.00 includes: 8 general admission tickets,
             VIP Cocktail Cruise on “The Dream” Patron:   $200.00 includes: 4 general admission tickets
               and name on program list. We welcome all our old and new friends, and look forward to hosting this event!! Because of the time factor, this will be the only letter you will receive by mail. Schedule will be posted on our website and at Dynamite’s.
